Corporates Analyst
Business Overview:
The Americas Corporate Solutions group's mission is to supply integrated risk management solutions (FX, Rates, Commodities, and Equity derivatives) to our corporate clients through the application of origination, analytics, structuring, and trading resources of the bank. As part of the Corporate Solutions, the Interest Rates team is responsible for providing coverage to the bank's corporate clients with regards to managing risks that are inherent in their long-term liabilities. Most common products used by clients to hedge their risks are interest rate swaps, cross-currency swaps, and Treasury Locks.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of presentation books
Assisting senior marketers in preparation for client meetings and calls
Creating periodic market updates for distribution to clients
Maintenance of client and transaction databases for the team
Become an expert in IR Trading and operations systems (WASP, STAR, Risk Navigator, Markit Wire, etc)
Work with relationship managers and senior marketers to discover opportunities with clients
Work with the trading desk to close transactions
As appropriate liaise with relevant internal risk functions: Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk Management
Attend relevant training courses to maintain appropriate regulatory, product and technical skills
Provide clients with market data, prices, and other factual information
Qualifications:
Minimum:
0-3 years of previous relevant work experience
Strong accounting/finance background or related experience preferred
High proficiency level in basic computer applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong math/quantitative skills
Strong communication, interpersonal organizational skills
Strong work ethic
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to consistently meet or beat deadlines
Attention to detail and accuracy is imperative
Preferred:
1-2 years of experience working on a trading floor
Familiarity with derivative instruments
FINRA Registrations Required:
Series 7 and 63 licenses will need to be obtained within a reasonable amount of time
