Clinic Manager

The Institute for Advanced Medicine (IAM) is looking for a Clinic Managerfor one of their clinical practice sites at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Thisindividual will maintain responsibility for day to day operational oversight ofan ambulatory practice including supervision of clerical staff; ensuring onsiteJCAHO and other agency regulatory compliance; conducting interdisciplinaryoperational staff meetings; facilitating hiring and performance appraisals;coordinating employee training and development; overseeing the clinic-basedstaff schedules; addressing physical plant needs; and ensuring maximizedpatient and staff satisfaction. On aday-to-day basis, the Ambulatory Care Manager will work closely with front endstaff to facilitate all issues related to patient flow, registration, andbilling.
Role & Responsibilities
Manages day-to-day operations of theclinic to promote standards of service excellence.
Manages and monitors fiscal aspectsof clinic, including revenue cycle and operating budgets.
Provides direct supervision to ClericalSupervisor and administrative staff.
Participates in the quality assuranceprogram of the site, identifying opportunities for improvement and facilitatingmonitoring activities.
Oversees the physical plant andmaintains the optimal utilization of available space.
Supervises the adequate maintenanceof supplies and equipment within the clinic.
Responds to patient complaints andaddresses issues/problems identified. Ensures patient needs are addressed andsets tone consistent with center's service standards.
Helps develop, monitors, and enforcespolicies and procedures.
Monitor Patient Experience surveyresults and help develop and oversee action plan. Be the model for the site'sPatient Experience improvement work.
Demonstrates ability to gather andinterpret data in support of clinic operations.
Monitors and ensures that front deskbilling and registration activities are properly executed.
Facilitate supply orders in timelymanner.
Help ensure compliance withelectronic medical records systems. Keep open visit lists to a minimum.
Manages all personnel and employeerelations matters, including hiring, performance evaluation and disciplinaryaction.
Ensures onsite JCAHO and other agencyregulatory compliance.
Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in hospital administration orrelated field, strong interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task in afast-paced environment, and at least 5 years' experience managing operationsand supervising staff in ambulatory care setting.
