What You'll Do:
As anintegral part of the Patient Care and Administrative Leadership team, theMaterials Manager is responsible for all aspects of procurement, equipment, andclinical supplies within the Department of Surgery. These activities includeprocurement, maintenance, inventory management, reporting and ordering of allmedical/surgical supplies and equipment.
Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
Reviewsand analyzes equipment and supply usage and needs in order to maintain adequateequipment/supply level
Ordersand maintains par level of all supplies and equipment and works closely withmedical and nursing staff to ensure that proper supplies are on floor andavailable
Inconjunction with Purchasing Department and according to established policiesand procedures, arranges for the rental of medical and surgical equipment anddevelops a tracking system
Reviewsand corrects daily receiving reports, performs research to resolve receipt andissue discrepancies
Adheresto Materials Management and Purchasing departmental policies and procedures
Adheresto Surgery departmental policies and procedures
Communicateswith vendors to expedite open purchase orders, discuss problems concerninglead-time, back orders and availability of items
Keepsmanagement and staff abreast of manufacturer back orders and stock outs
Coordinatesrepair of equipment by appropriately tagging and taking equipment to designatedarea
Coordinateswith vendors to for equipment repairs and arranges appropriate and sufficientloaner equipment or replacement agreements
Implementsloaner and replacement agreements during periods of equipment downtime
Coordinatesthe exchange of equipment for newly inspected items in accordance with establishedpolicies and procedures
Reportsproblematic or broken equipment to leadership, nursing and providers
Attendsand/or performs in-services in the department as required
RunsPar Reports and meets with Department Leadership to review reports and suggestnew Par Levels on a monthly basis
Designsasset efficiency, reliability, cost and responsiveness related metrics andassociated targets
Meetswith Department leadership to review reports and performance on a monthly basis
Reviewsall products on an annual basis to ensure best pricing and appropriate contractstructure
Expeditesand works with vendors and purchasing Department concerning backorder problems,credit holds, and product recalls
Maintainsknowledge of all Materials Management initiatives within MSHS
Informsand Educates Department Leadership on new initiatives and collaborations
Implementsnew software upgrades related to inventory management system
Leadsnew software implementations as necessary

HighSchool Graduate or GED Equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
