What You'll Do:
TheResidency Assistant will support the coordination of all aspects of theHematology/Medical Oncology Fellowship program. Maintains fellow files andprovides administrative support to the Fellowship Program Director, and Sr.Fellowship Coordinator.
Assistswith the coordination of the fellowship program ensuring compliance withestablished guidelines
Maintainsthe fellows' database and paper files to ensure accuracy
Providesadministrative support for training programs
Collaboratesin the scheduling of graduation activities, conferences, social events, etc.
Assistswith the preparation of reports for the Accreditation Council for GraduateMedical Education (ACGME), GME Track and applicable specialty boards
Preparereimbursement documents, travel arrangements and order supplies as needed.Handles all correspondence from external facilities regarding verification offellowship for current and former fellows
Participatein the completion of surveys
Submitstimely and complete duty hour reports to the Compliance Office following theinstitution's compliance plan
Collectsand tracks evaluations of the residents, fellows, faculty, and program incompliance with applicable accreditation requirements
Ensurescompliance with departmental policies and procedures regarding any house staffmoonlighting or other professional activities outside the scope of the program
Maintainsand monitors records of resident/fellow attendance for all required educationalactivities, including conferences and other didactic experiences
Ensurescurrent and complete data for resident procedural experience, including thoserecorded in ACGME Case Logs and the New Innovations Procedure Logger module
Maintainsthe residency/fellowship curriculum, including competency-based goals andobjectives for each assignment and each level of training
Collectsa summative, competency-based evaluation and a list of all rotations completedfrom the previous program of any fellow who transfers into the program,including those who complete one year of preliminary training before enteringan advanced residency program
Providesthese materials to the new program for any fellow who transfers out of MountSinai
Developsand maintains program letters of agreement for all required rotations atoutside institutions
Processvisas for all foreign nationals and communication with the InternationalPersonnel Department
Managereview of fellowship applications using the ERAS system as directed by the Sr.Fellowship Coordinator
Communicatesconditions of house staff appointment to candidates at or before the time ofinterview
Preparesfor Internal Reviews of the program as directed by the GME Office
Performsother duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
HighSchool Diploma/GED required; Associate's degree preferred
1-2years of administrative experience in a hospital setting required
Excellentverbal and written communication skills are essential to interface effectivelywith diverse internal and external professional groups
Knowledgeof Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) required
Demonstrateability to independently prioritize work
Demonstrateproficient computer skills

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
