What You'll Do:
Performs a variety of secretarial duties under direct supervision, in any assigned department or nursing unit
Answers telephone, screen calls, takes messages and provides information according to established policies
Types correspondence, memos, reports, minutes, etc.
Proof typed materials, makes corrections and recommends changes
Handles incoming and outgoing mail, opens, sorts, and prioritizes; answers routine inquiries and correspondence
Maintains appointment books for meetings, patients, travel, etc.
Maintains files; assists in setting up office systems
Orders office and clinical supplies as requested; assists in care and maintenance of department equipment
Maintains established hospital/departmental/unit policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control
Attends meetings as required, including in-service meetings
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned area
What You'll Bring:
High School diploma or equivalent education.
Two to three years prior experience as a secretary. Familiarity with medical terminology preferred. Excellent organizational and typing skills. May require knowledge of PC software (Word, Excel, Power Point).

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
