What You'll Do:
TheAssociate Researcher I will be engaged in translational breast cancer researchprogram projects focused on identifying and validating novel therapeutictargets for triple negative and drug resistant, high risk breast cancers. Theproject aims to validate the functions of novel oncogenes/tumor suppressors andtheir relevance in the context of patient breast cancers. The AssociateResearcher will be responsible for carrying out experiments requiring a range oftechniques and approaches (molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, in vivomouse modeling, patient tumor tissue handing and processing, patient-derivedxenograft models). The candidate will work closely with the PI andpost-doctoral fellows in the lab.
Conductsroutine and standardized experiments using advanced research techniquesspecific to subject matter of the research project.
Analyzesand assists in interpreting moderately complex results.
Performsassays to support research studies.
Assistsin new and unexpected research experiments and techniques.
Assistsin the collection, analysis and review of experimental data for publication andpresentation.
Performs other related duties
