This position will be in Business & Legal Affairs (BLA) in the Global Digital Business (GDB) group at Sony Music. The GDB group is primarily responsible for digital distribution of SME's catalog, with both established partners and new startups. The GDB group is proud to maintain a friendly, respectful, professional and diverse culture. This position will support four lawyers.
Responsibilities
Key Support
Responsibilities:
Answer phones, maintain calendars, arrange meetings
Proactively multitask, manage priorities, resolve conflicts and meet timelines for multiple projects among three lawyers
Manage and shepherd internal process for approving, executing and filing contracts, often involving senior executives
Composition of basic business correspondence; proofreading and editing of documents
Maintain and update working/desk files for attorneys
Coordinate scheduling and assist communication with other departments within Sony Music
Backup and assist the legal assistant for the EVP of the group as needed
Routine administrative matters, such as prepare expense reports and make travel arrangements
Possible Project
Responsibilities:
Proactively track, annotate, organize and file anti-piracy demand and request letters
Testing/exploration of online music services for possible compliance and investigation purposes
Qualifications
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum of three years administrative experience
Law firm experience a plus
Large company law department experience a plus
Paralegal experience a plus
Expert proficiency with Word and Outlook
General proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
Availability to work occasional overtime
