Software Compliance and Continuity Analyst

The Software Administration and Compliance Analyst will be a member of the Ad Sales Technology organization located in New York, NY. This role will be responsible for performing software audits and administration for all Ad Sales applications, including the single advertising sales and traffic platform supporting NBCUniversal's network and cable properties. The software audits will focus on assessing our systems, strengthening our internal controls, mitigating related business risks and improving IT and business performance. The software administration responsibilities will consist of implementing and testing software configuration changes, managing user accounts and troubleshooting issues.
Specific duties include:
Risk & Assurance: Identify critical business processes that depend on technology and endeavor to eliminate all risk and improve efficiencies by establishing controls and recommending process improvements. Facilitate reviews, tests and discussions with the business, technology partners and auditors.
User Administration: Provision, de-provision and modify user accounts and obtain necessary approvals for accounts. Perform account reviews to ensure the users and their roles are accurate, and work with the business to attain approvals in a timely manner.
Data Quality: Perform data validations using application reports to tie out integral data from Ad Sales systems. Define and implement new processes and tools to discover software defects and data integrity issues.
Continuity: Support disaster recovery efforts by defining a plan, coordinating with the appropriate technical and business resources, communicating timelines and milestones, documenting the activities and implementing improvements to reduce business impact.
Configuration: Configure software (front end and back end) and tracking changes for new development, production releases, user requests, demonstrations and training sessions.
Testing: Document and execute tests to confirm that Ad Sales software is functioning as designed, defects are fixed and enhancements are working as expected. Audit test documentation completed by other team members to make sure the appropriate level of detail is provided.
Troubleshooting: Assist users with issues by providing solutions to technical problems or following up with the appropriate parties. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other technical discipline and approximately 2-3 years of related work experience
Experience as an IT auditor or IT risk adviser
Experience with software development methodologies
Proven to be a top performer and contributor relative to his/her peers and consistently generated positive feedback
Excellent written and verbal communications; effective interpersonal skills; strong formal presentation abilities.
Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with all parties
Ability to work during evenings and weekends when necessary to support large televised events, software upgrades/migrations, off-hours maintenance or technical outages.
