What You'll Do:
The Project Manager II develops and oversees the operationalaspects and scope of a specific large-scale project, generally with system-wideimplications. Creates and executes project work plans and revises asappropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Identifies resources andassigns individual responsibilities. Effectively applies project methodologyand enforces standards while ensuring quality assurance procedures. A Projectby definition must have a timeline with a beginning and end date and differsfrom a business cycle.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
1. Plans, directs and coordinates activities ofdesignated project(s) to ensure that goals or objectives of the project areaccomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Alters plansand makes recommendations for future project phases or future projects, basedon lessons learned from the project.
2. Communicates project initiatives and tasks toteam members and committee members clearly and regularly. Confers with staff tooutline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope ofauthority. Responds to feedback and status reports from the project team andapplicable committees and Directors to revise the project tasks and/or timelineas necessary.
3. Works with project team subordinates to setmeaningful performance objectives; sets specific performance goals andidentifies measures for evaluating goal achievement.
4. Provides feedback, instruction, anddevelopment guidance to help others excel in their current or future jobresponsibilities; planning and supporting the development of individual skillsand abilities.
5. Communicates high expectations; linksperformance improvement and skill development to relevant personal and businessgoals; checks for understanding of and commitment to performance anddevelopment goals as well as follow-up activities.
6. Provides guidance and positive models to helpothers develop; seeks suggestions for improving performance; collaborativelycreates development plans that include activities targeted to specific goals;leverages environmental supports and removes development barriers; advocatesfor individual to higher levels of management to create developmentopportunities.
7. Monitors progress toward project milestonesto ensure metrics are met in a timely fashion and within prescribed budgetincluding consultants and outside vendors. Prepares project reports formanagement, client, or regulatory agencies as required.
8. Remains informed of changing applicableregulations which may affect project objectives, goals, progress and/ortimelines. Alters project plan accordingly.
9. Facilitates coordination of all elementswhich support project work (meetings, agendas, deliverables, etc.).Maintains/updated schedules and calendars. Provides logistical support asneeded. Establishes work plans and staffing for each phase of project, andarranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
10. Develops a budget for the project and isresponsible for the allocation of resources.
11. Ensures all staffing requirements andallotment of available resources to various phases of project are met. Maycontribute to the performance evaluation of the employees associated with theproject and may evaluate vendors and consultants and their effectiveness andability to deliver as promised.
12. Maintains effectiveness when experiencingmajor changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjusts effectively towork within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures.
13. Initiates and maintains strategicrelationships with stakeholders inside and outside the health system (e.g.physicians, cross-functional partners, payers, suppliers, communityrepresentatives) to advance clinical and business goals.
14. Translates strategic priorities intooperational reality; aligning communication, accountabilities, resourcecapabilities, internal processes, and ongoing measurement systems to ensurethat strategic priorities yield measurable and sustainable results.
15. Ensures that those responsible forimplementing a strategic initiative have role clarity and accountability forrequired actions and outputs as well as the authority to act in a wayconsistent with organizational values.
16. Actively maintains a broad awareness of theinternal and external environment by accurately perceiving organizational,political, and social dynamics; proactively navigating the stakeholderenvironment to avoid unwanted or unproductive reactions and consequences.
17. Constantly monitors the organization (insidean out) to stay abreast of political realities (hidden agendas, motives,informal power struggles, etc.) assesses the views and positions ofstakeholders on key issues.
18. Performs other related duties.
What You'll Bring:
Master's degree or equivalent experience in any of thefollowing areas strongly preferred: MPA, MPH, MBA
5-7 years of prior healthcare industryexperience required, preferably in the areas of project management, changemanagement, health care delivery re-design or integration, health policyreform.
Maintaining effectiveness when experience majorchanges in work responsibilities or environment; adjusting effectively to workwithin new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
Focusing and guiding others in accomplishingwork objectives.

Translating strategic priorities intooperational reality; aligning communication, accountabilities, resourcecapabilities, internal processes, and ongoing measurement systems to ensurethat strategic priorities yield measurable and sustainable results
Actively maintaining a broad awareness of theinternal and external environment by accurately perceiving organizational,political, and social dynamics; proactively navigating the stakeholderenvironment to avoid unwanted or unproductive reactions and consequences

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
