Senior Manager, Technical Product Management, Data Platforms
Overview and Responsibilities
As part of Viacom's Data Strategy team, you'll dive deep into how we use data (big and small), machine learning and data science to power our research, advertising and content. Our fans consume media across a growing number of traditional and emerging platforms - as such, Viacom's data ecosystem is now in the critical path for the current and future business. Responsibilities include:
Product manage / own major parts of Viacom's new data platforms
Become expert in our business metrics and KPIs. Steward insights and use of data
Become expert in the capabilities and limitations of our data platform, the data we manage, and the semantics of the data itself
Take ownership of our data ingest, management and visualization tools; drive their development and use them to effectively deliver meaningful business intelligence
Define and manage product roadmaps for key internal development teams and vendors
Work with cross functional teams to find and implement new views, products and partnerships
Write requirement documentation, design and deploy data dashboards that summarize and communicate opportunities across the business
Basic Qualifications
3-5 years of agile / lean product management experience
Ability to navigate a complex stakeholder matrix and manage multiple priorities
Familiarity with media (nielsen, adobe) and social (facebook, instagram, youtube) centric datasets
Experience with data aggregation and business intelligence toolsets like DOMO and Tableau
Familiarity with modern modeling, machine learning, NLP, regression and classification techniques
Deep knowledge of relational & non-relational databases and SQL
