Partnerships Manager
Overview
The Emergency Services Partnerships Manager provides liaison support to all divisional emergency preparedness, response, and recovery efforts. In this role, serves as a key liaison with multi-sector emergency management networks including the board and members of local Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD), long-term recovery groups (LTRGs), local emergency management, as well as other local, state, and national government and non-government partners as requested by the Director. In addition, the Partnerships Coordinator supports collaborative response and recovery efforts w/ multi-sector partners.
Responsibilities
Assist with all divisional emergency preparedness, response, and recovery efforts
Serve as a key liaison to multi-sector partners in all phases
Sustain and develop existing external collaborations, formal partnerships, and membership in partner networks engaged in emergency preparedness, response, and recovery
Identify potential strategic partners and create, nurture, and develop those partnerships
Support collaborations required by divisional emergency preparedness, response, and recovery efforts
Provide/participate in training in collaboration with multi-sector partners
Attend seminars, workshops, and conferences as requested
With approval, deploy to national/international emergencies to support Salvation Army response/recovery effortsThe essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to the duties as listed. Qualifications
College degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
Excellent interpersonal liaison skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multi-sector partners
Knowledge of, and experience in the emergency management field
Knowledge of local, state, and national government and non-government partners
Ability to handle continuous involvement in a high-stress emergency setting
