Business Overview: Founded in 2013, Consulting Americas works closely with BNPP's executive management and senior leadership to: design and implement high-level, strategically important projects, and shape the development of the Bank in the region (US, Canada, and Latin America). The team is comprised of two rapidly growing sub-teams: CIB Consulting and Operations Consulting.
CIB Consulting works with the region's leadership on the high priority design, development, and transformation initiatives. Recent engagements have included a 5-year strategic plan for BNPP in the Americas, an enterprise risk management framework, and new market growth cases.
Operations Consulting works with the region's leadership to implement high priority business, regulatory, and operational projects. Recent engagements have included Target Operating Model design, implementation of operational changes in light of a new regulatory framework and operational transformation of key support functions within the Bank.
The teams are highly collaborative internally across Consulting Americas and externally with clients within the Bank. Engagements can span multiple business lines, functions, and/or regions within various BNP Paribas entities such as: Corporate and Institutional Banking, Investment Solutions and the US retail bank, Bank of the West.
Depending on business needs, this role may be located in the New York City or Jersey City office locations
Responsibilities:
Independently support project delivery, with greater focus on managing day-to-day project activities under the direction of a Director and client stakeholders (e.g. developing presentations and content, conducting stakeholder meetings)
Bring content expertise and drive resolution of complex issues
Build long-term relationships with clients
Support proposals to acquire new projects
Manage and motivate a team of associates and analysts
Required
Qualifications:
Education and Work:
Strong project management background within financial services
Demonstrated ability to take on leadership roles on critical projects and work with senior management (7 years of proven experience as Project Manager)
Competencies:
Familiarity with regulatory standards (CCAR, Basel and Dodd-Frank rules)
Experience on one of the following topics (Risk, Regulatory, Finance)
Develops well-structured frameworks to solve complex problems and provides guidance to efficiently complete projects
Defines, conducts and/or supervises the necessary research and analysis for a project module
Detailed-oriented and ability to learn quickly and immerse deeply
Presents convincingly in client interactions
Provides slides, charts, and storylines that are client-ready
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Visio and SharePoint
Ascertains quality of work of junior colleagues
Ability to deliver quality results against fast-paced project deliverable deadlines
Proven ability to execute complex projects with large number of dependencies
Develops an understanding of the client's problems

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
