Sr. Project Manager

The News Technology team exists to provide solutions that allow creation, enrichment, packaging, storage and delivery of news content, enabling our customers to rapidly and cost effectively assemble diverse business solutions for their different audiences and markets.
Reporting to the Director of Program Management for News Services, but working in a project manager pool, the project manager will define scope and manage projects working with product management and engineering to ensure technical and business objectives are achieved.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Define, document and manage traditional and agile delivered projects
Put adequate project controls are in place to ensure projects deliver agreed benefits.
Identifies, assesses and manages risks and issues to the success of the project
Effectively manage project team conflicts, build collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, and obtain commitment to make decisions
Manage stakeholders
Work in a collaborative manner within a matrix managed organisation.
Estimates costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project to agreed scope and constraints.
Maintain project resource allocations
Prepares and maintains project plans and tracks activities against the plan
Implement effective communication plan and operating rhythm, including provision of regular and accurate reports
Monitors costs, timescales and resources used, and takes action where these deviate from agreed tolerances.
Manages change control gaining agreement for revisions from project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
10= of experience in a technology environment including six or more years of project management experience
Experience working with News Products is required
Knowledge of Thomson Reuters products highly desirable
Experience within the financial industry preferred
Knowledge of project management techniques

Knowledge of software development
Formal project management qualification

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
