Responsibilities:
A Kforce client is seeking a talented and dedicated Director of Engineering to be part of a growing tech, data driven firm located in New York, New York (NY).
Summary:
This position provides strategic management direction for software development and manages a team of developers and their projects through completion; analyzes designs and develops software enhancements and new modules; manage development projects from initial design through testing or intake projects from Innovation teams for the end.
This position is a combination of leadership, mentoring, and hands-on development and architecture.
Please note that they will also consider an Architect/Lead for this role.
You'll be managing a team of 3-5 developers and is expected to build the team as well.

your ideas will make a difference REQUIREMENTS:
A BA/BS degree in Computer Science; MS a plus 1-2
years of experience managing development teams in an Agile environment Experienced developing web sites and applications using object-oriented PHP 7, JavaScript, ActionScript, HTML, JSON and MySQL Experienced with at least one other major programming language such as C#, C++, Python, Java, or Ruby Experienced in iOS programming such as Swift, Objective-C, or mobile JavaScript frameworks Experience using a VCS, preferably Git Experienced with OO Design Principles and Patterns Experienced writing SQL queries Experience with either jQuery, the Laravel framework or PhP Doctrine is a plus Experience with microservices Familiar with MVC and templating Familiar with React, Redux and a node framework Familiar with Continuous Integration/Delivery Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills An individual who values the customer and can create optimal user experiences using HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and CSS Aware of web standards, their purpose, benefits and appropriateness Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
