Network Security Engineer
A top global hedge fund has an opening for a subject matter expert with hands-on experience in a wide range of Network focused security tools and technologies.
This person will assist with engineering, automation, and implementation of new technologies across the infrastructure in support of perimeter security, DMZs, firewalls, proxies, intrusion detection, vulnerability scanning, and overall network security across the entire technology stack.
Responsibilities Include:
Performing periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments to identify security vulnerabilities on the perimeter Lead, implement and manage key monitors for network security controls ensuring security posture across the perimeter networks.
Demonstrate understanding at technical and managerial levels of current risks and threats to Network infrastructure and perimeter Implement automation for perimeter security technologies remediating vulnerabilities, identifying gaps, or creating alerts and reporting.
Manage remediation efforts for gaps reported in audits, penetration tests or process improvements.
Qualifications/Skills Required Minimum of one security certification (CISSP, GCIA, CISM, etc.
) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.

yrs experience in a technical role with a minimum of 3
yrs experience focusing on information security Hands-on technical experience with firewall configuration management and auditing (RedSeal, FireMon), Next Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto and CISCO), Load-Balancers (F5 and NetScaler), and Intrusion Detection/Prevention (Sourcefire, Firepower and DarkTrace) Knowledge of TCP/IP and other infrastructure such as DNS, Wi-Fi, virtualization, and others.
Development, and scripting skills a plus (Python, Perl, shell scripting, other) Knowledge of SIEM platforms (Qradar, Splunk, ELK), Cloud Services (AWS, GCP or Azure) and routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) Sthree US is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
