As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (BSA/AML), you will:
Plan, coordinate and monitor BSA/AML activities in complex community and midsize banks. Provide BSA/AML expertise to supervision activities including:
assessing risk, developing supervisory strategies, and managing teams of assisting examiners. Identify and address areas of significant BSA/AML related risk in complex community, midsize, and large banks. Provide authoritative advice on BSA/AML matters to bank supervision management, examination staff, subject matter experts and specialists, and Washington senior subject matter managers. Provide leadership and advanced technical expertise or advice on complex BSA/AML matters. You must meet the following requirements within 60 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-V band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
Leading the assessment and evaluation of a financial institution's compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) laws, rules and regulations; OR Serving as an advisor or consultant on BSA, AML, and OFAC matters to regulatory examiners, auditors, or financial institution management. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service.
