We are seeking a Sr. Product Marketing Manager Accident & Health and Connected Benefits to accelerate growth for MetLife s Group Benefits business. You ll work across our key market segments, becoming familiar with MetLife s broad range of industry-leading core and voluntary benefits products and shaping crucial strategies to drive impact. In this role, you will help drive brand awareness, consideration and engagement with our key audiences through compelling product content and marketing strategies.

Overall, your work will help to fuel MetLife s purpose of generating financial security for our customers reducing risk, increasing control, and providing peace of mind for employees and families when life is surprising and uncertain.

Role Value Proposition:

The Sr. Product Marketing Manager is responsible for helping to strategize and develop impactful marketing strategies that reach our target employer and broker audiences leading to revenue lift, market growth, increased product awareness and consideration, and ongoing industry leadership. In this role, you will be the product marketing lead for MetLife s Accident & Health suite and Connected Benefits solutions two of MetLife s highest growth product offerings as part of our Voluntary Benefits strategy. Our industry leading Accident & Health suite, comprised of Accident Insurance, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity, act as an extension of healthcare benefits, helping employees navigate unexpected out of pocket costs. Our connected benefits solution is a key differentiator for MetLife and help ensure employees get the most out of their benefits.

In this role, you ll work on the Insights, Analytics & Product Marketing team, which is responsible for unlocking customer and marketplace data and insights, translating these insights into meaningful, customer-centric value propositions. The product marketing team will have specific responsibility for building marketing content and strategies to activate them in powerful, differentiating ways. The team provides strategic guidance across our entire Group Benefits product portfolio, including Life, Disability, Dental, Vision, Pet, Accident & Health, HSA, Financial Wellness and Legal Plans.

You ll work firsthand with key business partners, stakeholders and leadership on an array of fast-paced initiatives, furnishing sales leaders and their teams with the necessary tools for customer engagement, acquisition, and retention. You ll lead the development of differentiated and impactful go-to-market strategies and content based on insights and data, supporting sales to engage prospects and partners, grow relationships, and win new business. You ll develop compelling messaging that drive product innovations and create exciting marketing campaigns. In many ways, you ll be on the front lines, channeling creative strategy and skilled execution to see immediate and long-range results. Additionally, you ll partner with our Integrated and Customer Marketing teams to define robust activation plans across key channels and execute.

You ll also work closely with other teams, including members of our Product Center of Excellence, Heads of markets and product/pricing, strategy, and communications. You ll build strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to guide content, ensuring a cohesive and consistent approach across products, channels and audiences.

Key
Responsibilities:

  • Build compelling, forward-looking product value propositions based on data and insights that drive differentiation and growth
  • Develop robust activation plans to execute on value propositions across key digital and non-digital channels
  • Identify opportunities to drive cohesiveness, consistency and efficiency across MetLife s Group Benefits product portfolio
  • Collaborate with Insights & Intelligence team to shape product research opportunities to achieve desired outcomes to inform product strategy / value proposition
  • Translate key customer/market insights into actionable marketing strategies that drive short- and long-term impact
  • Partner closely with various business and marketing support teams and peers, including Integrated Marketing, Group Benefits Leadership and Communications to help define, deliver and execute on product related business strategies
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches and innovation opportunities
  • Develop a keen understanding of Group Benefits business and key offerings, and guide marketing strategies and recommendations to achieve business objectives
  • Gain a deep understanding of MetLife s target customers, and build a strong capability to translate needs and preferences to drive compelling communications
  • Maintain budget including ongoing tracking and reporting to leadership, and provide input to annual strategic/financial planning process
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Preferred:

  • Bachelor s Degree preferred; MBA is a plus

    years of experience in marketing
  • Fundamental finance & budgeting concepts
  • Agency experience/exposure is preferred
