This comprehensive training program covers all the ins and outs of optical networks, from optical transceivers, optical fiber, transmission systems, optical amplifiers, ROADMs, and all other components and modules required for optical networks to perform satisfactorily. This introductory course focuses on systems that are based on direct detection and delves into the understanding and mitigation of the optical impairments such as attenuation, polarization mode dispersion (PMD), chromatic dispersion (CD), four wave mixing and more.
