NEW COA Gemeinhardt Flute Gold Plated Solid Silver Open Hole for sale in New York City, NY
I have more pictures that I could message to anyone interested in the flute If you are a parent buying a flute for your child and have questions or need some direction in finding the right flute, feel free to respond with questions. Questions irrelevant to the flute I'm selling are welcome. I would love to help someone come into the wonderful world of the flutist community This flute is 100% BRILLIANT AND SHINY in person. The camera didnt quite capture it This is a "Gemeinhardt KG Special" flute. It has a SOLID SILVER HEAD, BODY, and FOOT. Head joint has a GOLD LIP PLATE and GOLD PLATED INSIDE. The keys are inline G. It has a B foot. Ive been loving this flute for 14 years, and it has been well taken care of over the course of its life with me. The entire flute received a NEW COA not too long ago so it has a FRESH POLISH, FRESH PADS/ CORKS/ FELTS, and its KEYS/ SPRINGS/ SCREWS have RECENTLY BEEN READJUSTED. Needless to say, this flute NEEDS NO WORK and is READY TO BE PICKED UP AND PLAYED FOR A LONG TIME This flute is great for intermediate players, including college students studying music. Its the right flute for anyone from an advanced middle schooler looking for an instrument that will take them a long way, to college students or casual professionals Along with the flute comes a soft case (great for avoiding keeping items directly in the case with your flute- dont do that!!), hard case, plastic cleaning rod, and silver polish cloth Im selling this flute because Ive downgraded flutes, and am now moving onto learning and loving the cello. $740 is a very good price for this flute, and because of that the price is firm. (Due to Ebay's fees, the price is $700 on Craigslist.) Please be wary of buying solid silver flutes below that price. The flute may be solid silver, but the condition could be very poor. Think of what its like buying used cars. Common issues to ask about are sticky keys, cracked pads, and air leaks. A COA (sortof "refurbishing") is expensive, and is likely what would be required to solve the problem. If you are looking for a flute in a lower price range, look for silver plated ones. Nickel, cupronickel, and nickel-silver flutes will all be in the same price range as silver plated flutes, but will tarnish in a way that you cant polish clean. Theyll all have essentially the same tone quality I would be happy to meet and show the flute (for free, with no deposit) to anyone seriously considering purchasing it and located in New York City
