One day, while traveling down Park avenue, he came across a car that was one he didnt see everyday, a w111 cabriolet, stuck on the side of the road, its owner irate about it leaving him stranded.
Ever one to seize an opportunity,.

Abernathy asked the owner, who happened to be Calvin Klein, if he would want to sell such a rare vehicle.
To which the answer was an emphatic yes.
Hence Mr.
Klein ceded ownership to him, and thus began an relationship with this car that lasted over 45 years until his passing recently.
This rare low grille 6 cylinder model has had continual servicing and updating over the years to ensure its cosmetic and mechanical condition has been maintained and has allowed for this vehicle to provide many years of reliable service, including multiple trips and road rallies, even travelling to other continents, for running the fabled Minsk to Moscow rally over 30 years ago.
This vehicle is in excellent driver condition, it presents incredibly well and is truly a pleasure to drive, whether the top is down or up.
